Tipico gagliardetto dei red devils in uso a partire dagli anni cinquanta. Su esso è ricamato lo stemma della città di Manchester con un veliero e nella parte inferiore sono presenti tre strisce gialle in obliquo in campo rosso. Questa tipologia di gagliardetto pentagonale troncato in rosso e bianco, rimase in uso fino al 1973, con lo stemma modificato che riportava nella parte inferiore il disegno di un diavolo. Fu sostituito da un esemplare in stoffa rossa sempre ricamato che venne utilizzato, verosimilmente, per la prima volta in occasione dell’addio al Manchester United di Denis Law. Il gagliardetto si riferisce al tour in Spagna dei diavoli rossi, tra il 15 e il 20 Maggio, dove affrontarono, in tre partite, le seguenti squadre: Mantova, Maiorca e Valencia. Typical red devils pennant in use since the 50s. On it is embroidered the coat of arms of the city of Manchester with a sailing ship and at the bottom there are three yellow stripes on a red background. This type of red and white pennant remained in use until 1973, with the modified coat of arms bearing the coat of arms of a devil at the bottom. It was replaced by an embroidered red cloth model that was used, probably, for the first time on the occasion of Denis Law’s farewell to Manchester United, in October 1973. This pennant refers to the tour of Spain of the red devils, between 15 and 20 May 1962, where they faced in three matches the following teams: Mantua, Mallorca, Valencia.
