A rare Inter captains swapped pennant from the friendly match played on 26 December 1946 between the Nerazzurri and the Hungarian champions Ujpest Dosza enters in my collection. The chronicles of the friendly match are reported in the weekly “Il Calcio Illustrato“. Among the photos, that of the two captains just after making the exchange of the pennants. You can see that of Ujpest but not that of Inter.
The pennant of the Inter, reports to the features of the banners used by Ambrosiana Inter until a few years before that, similar to this, they did not bear the coat of arms but only the embroidery of a ball, in addition to the inscription of the name of the club.
The pennant has obvious signs of the time with the very discoloured blue part. The back of the pennant has not the tricolor but a blue-black palate with a much lighter and sharper blue than the forehead. Despite the signs of time and its seventy-four years, this pennant maintains its charm and can be considered, in my opinion, a piece of the history of Italian football.

Entra in collezione un raro gagliardetto dell’Inter risalente alla partita amichevole disputata il 26 dicembre 1946 tra i nerazzurri ed i campioni di Ungheria dell’Ujpest Dosza. Le cronache dell’amichevole sono riportate nel numero 1 del settimanale “Il Calcio Illustrato”. Tra le foto, quella dei due capitani dopo aver effettuato lo scambio dei gagliardetti. S’intravede quello dell’Ujpest ma non quello dell’Inter.
Il gagliardetto dei nerazzurri, ha fattezze similari ai labari utilizzati dall’Ambrosiana Inter fino a qualche anno prima che, a similitudine di questo, non riportavano lo stemma ma soltanto il ricamo di un pallone, oltre all’iscrizione della denominazione societaria.
Il gagliardetto presenta evidenti segni del tempo con la parte azzurra molto scolorita. Il retro del gagliardetto non ha il tricolore bensì una palatura neroazzurra con l’azzurro molto più chiaro e nitido rispetto alla fronte. Nonostante i segni del tempo ed i suoi settantaquattro anni, il gagliardetto mantiene inalterato il suo fascino e può essere considerato, a mio avviso, un pezzo di storia del calcio italiano.
